FAQ

Who can get the Child Care Subsidy?

You or your partner may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy if you:

  • Care for your child for at least two nights per fortnight and use an approved childcare service like ours.
  • Are responsible for paying the childcare fees.
  • Meet residency and immunization requirements.

If you meet these criteria, you could benefit from the CCS to help reduce your childcare costs.

How much can I claim?

Your Family’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is determined by three key factors:

Combined Family Income: Your total family income impacts the subsidy amount.

Level of Activity: This includes work, education, or volunteering hours.

Childcare Provider’s Hourly Rate: The hourly rate charged by your childcare provider.

Navigating the CCS can be complex. To estimate your potential subsidy, you can use our Child Care Subsidy Calculator. For personalized assistance, please contact our Family Support Team at 1800 517 086.
