Celebrating International Day of Yoga at Wirrabirra Early School

At Wirrabirra Childcare Centre, we’re excited to celebrate the International Day of Yoga! Yoga offers many benefits for young children, from improving physical coordination to supporting emotional well-being. Here’s how we incorporate yoga into our program:

  • Mindful Movements: Simple poses and stretches help children develop body awareness and flexibility.
  • Breathing Exercises: We teach breathing techniques that calm the mind and body, helping children manage stress and emotions.
  • Focus and Concentration: Yoga helps improve concentration and mindfulness, key skills for learning.
  • Fun and Play: Our yoga sessions are playful and engaging, allowing children to explore movement in a joyful way.

On this special day, we’ll host a group yoga session to introduce children to the basics and celebrate the benefits of mindfulness and movement!
